Hi, I’m Yuxuan Tang (唐雨轩). I am a final-year undergraduate in Computer Science and Technology at Tsinghua University, with a minor in Mathematics. I expect to graduate in June 2027.

I am currently a Student Intern in the Illinois NSAI Lab at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), working with Prof. Francis Y. Yan.

I am applying to Ph.D. programs for Fall 2027.

Research Interests

My research interests lie in AI systems, particularly efficient inference for multimodal models. My current work focuses on memory and retrieval for streaming video understanding: what to retain from a video stream, how to retrieve relevant past context, and how these choices affect question answering. I am interested in balancing answer quality, memory use, and inference cost.

Misc

I’m going to Texas on Nov. 3–5, 2026 for League of Legends Worlds quarterfinals.
